2014 Isabel Cabernet Sauvignon
The wine exhibits classic red Bordeaux flavors of cassis with cedar notes from the barrels.
The Isabel Cabernet is grown exclusively for Chuck Hovey by Ginger and Clayton Rasmussen at their vineyard just east of Angels Camp, California. The 2014 growing season was long allowing for extended hang time.
The wine was cold soaked before fermentation and racked into new American oak barrels, where it sat for 36 months prior to bottling.
Food Pairing Notes
This wine will age gracefully for three to five years or pair now with grilled red meat or ripe cheeses.

Great red! Very drinkable, even on a warm summer day, so I imagine it would be great in cooler weather as well!
