A perfect alternative when you don't feel like a Chardonnay. This full-bodied white wine is a nice balance of citrus and melon one expects from Viognier. Agend in oak, this wine has a rich, creamy taste and deserves to be savored.
Our Viognier grapes come to us from the Rolleri Vineyard in Angels Camp. This varietal likes the hot temperatures and soil conditions of the Sierra Foothills, and especially the rolling hillsides of the Rolleri Vineyard, which is visible on Hwy 4 between Angels Camp and Murphys.
This wine is roughly an equal blend of the citrus and melon strains of the Viognier fruit. On the nose you’ll note white peach, orange blossoms and nectarine. On the palate you will experience pink grapefruit, Meyer lemon and honey, with a crisp finish. A perfect refreshing summer white, this is ready to drink now.
Food Pairing Notes
Pairs nicely with salmon/poached fish and garlic chicken dishes.
